Where It All Began
Accent Jewelers began in 1989 with our dad, Webster. The business started as a wholesale jewelry company, providing manufacturing, restoration, and repair services for retail jewelry stores throughout the Mid-South. As Webster built relationships in the industry, he recognized another need in the community: a place where people could sell their gold, silver, jewelry, and valuables in a welcoming environment while receiving honest evaluations and fair prices.
By the late 1990s, Accent Jewelers had expanded into precious metal buying and quickly became one of the largest and most trusted gold buyers in the region. Behind the scenes, however, another part of the business was quietly taking shape. Through our network of retail jewelers, we restored and refurbished remarkable vintage and estate pieces that were sold to jewelry stores across the southeast.
Yet every so often, something extraordinary would come
across our counter. A ring worn smooth after decades of love. A handcrafted brooch with details so intricate you could almost picture the artisan who created it. A watch that had marked generations of milestones. Those pieces reminded us that jewelry is more than gold or gemstones. It's history. It's craftsmanship. It's someone's story.
When Webster retired in 2023, we were honored to carry forward the legacy he built over more than three decades. But we also saw an opportunity to evolve.
We wanted to become more than a wholesale jeweler or Memphis' trusted gold buyer. We wanted to share these remarkable pieces directly with the people who would treasure them most. Instead of seeing jewelry only for its material value, we began celebrating its artistry, history, and the memories it carries.
